As the Dalai Lama said “Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions.” Now I realise some of you might think what a bizarre thing to celebrate, however we could all do with more happiness in our lives and we shouldn’t underestimate the fact that often it is within our control. Happiness benefits our own health and wellbeing, as well as those around us and makes us more productive at work, all things we should aim for. Having attended and run the Exploring Happiness course for the brilliant Action for Happiness I have seen first hand some great transformations and I think everyone would benefit from attending this course.
Whilst volunteering for the wonderful North London Cares I met a lady in her 80s who told me that every morning when she wakes up she thinks that today is going to be the best day of her life and I think that is something we should all do.
