Hello, I am Emma Rodwell and I am delighted to welcome you to Rodwell hypnotherapy. My goal is to provide you with the tools to fulfil your potential and live the life you have always wanted, free from the obstacles and pain you are holding on to from the past.
I realise for many of you when you hear of hypnosis you think I am going to have you under my control and will make you fall in love with a lamp post or do something equally silly. However fear not, that is a misconception that stage hypnotists have created for entertainment purposes. What I will be doing is help you identify your possibly subconscious block(s) and replace them with more positive and productive beliefs to help you move forward.
As I combine hypnotherapy with psychology and rapid transformational therapy (RTT) you should only require one session. Rapid transformational therapy is incredible and uses the many powerful aspects of hypnosis, combined with other techniques, to empower clients to make a permanent change and to let go of issues from their past. Some clients and some issues may require up to 3 sessions, this would be discussed at the end of the initial session. I also offer ongoing support as I want you to get the result you want.
I have been privileged to see some truly amazing transformations in my clients and would love to see the same in you.
Who do I help?
My work has to be done in partnership with you. You have to want to make a change and be willing to put in the effort required of listening every day for 3 weeks to the bespoke recording I provide you with.
I am passionate about helping anyone I can and especially children. I want to stop children from having the years of issues that I have seen in so many adults and help them develop resilience which will benefit them for life. As part of my sessions with children I teach them and their parent(s) about the power of language and in particular our self talk and how they can help themselves.
Are you feeling a bit lost and not sure what your next steps should be? Or perhaps you know what you want next but can’t seem to get there. Then my form of rapid transformational therapy, which combines my knowledge of psychology, coaching and hypnotherapy, is what you are looking for. I have been where you are. I have been lucky enough to do some fascinating jobs but had an unfulfilled burning desire to help people and knew I hadn’t yet found my vocation. I tried different things, including starting an occupational therapy degree course amongst other things, but it just wasn’t quite right. I was lucky I was surrounded by people who agreed I wasn’t fulfilling my potential and lots of people told me I should work as a coach as I naturally help people. I wasn’t convinced because my life wasn’t sorted so how could I guide others in a professional capacity? I realise now that I was meant to take my time in reaching this obvious destination. People are naturally able to open up to me and whilst I haven’t quite worked out why it is clearly a gift I am meant to use.
I was then fortunate enough to attend one of the brilliant Museum of Happiness events where I heard Marisa Peer (world renowned therapist) speak. She changed the atmosphere in the room and my friend and I looked at each other and said I have to work with her. So off I went and joined her mailing list. You can imagine my delight when a few weeks later I got an email saying she was offering training in her method for the first time and it was starting when my current contract was finishing. I duly went off and applied and became one of her Pioneers. Marisa has over 30 years experience as a therapist to the stars and has developed a unique method which has fantastic and fast results. She gave all her graduates phenomenal techniques to help clients with a range of issues. I have helped clients who have been abused, people with a variety of health issues, self esteem issues, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, weight loss, fears and phobias and am constantly delighted with the life changing results I help to facilitate.
What can you use hypnotherapy for?
This should probably say what can’t hypnotherapy be used for as it would be a much shorter list. Commonly hypnotherapy is used for low self esteem, weight loss, smoking/drinking cessation and stopping other addictions, removal of fears and phobias, solving sleep issues, easing health issues and lots more. I have also had a lot of success with helping expectant mums relax in the late stages of their pregnancies and help them prepare for their delivery date and life as a new mum.
I have a Psychology BSc. I have the following Hypnotherapy qualifications: Clinical Hypnotherapist, Certified Hypnotherapist (C.Hyp), Certified Marisa Peer Therapist (MPMH), Rapid Transformational Therapist (RTT). I am an accredited member of the General Hypnotherapy Register and am CNHC registered for Hypnotherapy. I have successfully completed a ACCPH validated CPD course on Understanding Autism: Making your practice autism friendly. I am also fully insured.
